This is by far my favorite instant coffee, and my wife's too. I use it in the morning when I just need a single cup and I'm in the hurry, I use it when I'm out bikepacking or camping, and I absolutely love making a latte with it by mixing with milk, ice cubes, and a strong shake to foam it up. So good!

Just got back from backpacking a 215 mile section of the PCT. My husband and I bought this especially for this trip as we didn’t want to bring powder creamer. I have to say I absolutely love this coffee. I’m a coffee snob and this checked all the boxes for us. In addition the packaging is easy to open and lightweight. It’s worth every penny! I hike to drink coffee. In the past I’ve carried every - heavy - coffee contraption known to try to replicate the delicious coffee I can brew at home. I can now leave all of that stuff at home and just carry a pack of Hero Blend which weighs 6 grams! And unlike other more expensive instant coffee that still has a burnt taste to me, Hero Blend is smooth and rich. I’m now a monthly subscriber. This blend was recommended to me by a friend. I was quite comfortable with my previous choice until I reluctantly obliged my buddy and tried it. My 'comfort zone' with my old blend was obliterated to say the least! Moring coffee was merely a part of a regimen. NOW it has become something I look forward to more than ever. Sound corny? I'm sure it does... :-) If you need convincing, I highly simply recommend to you to consider giving it the palate taste test. Who ever said "You cannot teach an old dog new tricks." , has NOT tried this stuff! (you've been warned! ) Have a better day! :-)

With some reservation, I tried this out. It is _actually_ better than any other instant I have tried out. Not burnt, not over-done. Pleasant flavor profile. Very good stuff. Have switched to this for on-the-go and trailhead coffee. Recommended!

I keep coming back to First Ascent for a reason when I go camping. Simply because it is the best instant coffee I have ever had! I normally drink cold brew and when I'm camping I have felt incredibly spoiled having a great cup of coffee from an ice cold stream in the morning with this instant coffee. Definitely well-made. Tastes like well-brewed coffee, easy to reconstitute, just not necessarily the taste I'm looking for in my coffee. Only "issues" are the slightly small amount of coffee it makes, the lack of a rip tab (not a big deal honestly), and the powder sometimes being hard to get out of the little pack if you don't have a wide enough opening.

Thanks to my First Ascent instant I never have to sacrifice the quality of my coffee when I travel again! I took some instant Hero Day with me on a trip to FL, it was the perfect pick me up in the airport. I kindly asked for a cup of hot water at one of the coffee chains and was able to make a better cup of coffee instantly than I was able to buy at any of the places in the airport.
