I love the Guatemala best of this set as my second morning cup, but then I also love the First Dawn and the Hero Day. And Ethiopia in the afternoon if I'm being honest. Pro tip: measure 8 fl oz in your vessel of choice and make a mental note of that line before hitting the great outdoors. I thought my mug was smaller, so my ratio of water to bean crystals was off. Still tasty though!

How on earth did First Ascent manage to create a product that tastes like I made it in my Aeropress?? Quite frankly, this is light years ahead of any other dehydrated coffee on the market and swings way above its weight class in terms of taste and quality. Not bad at all! I am used to grinding my own beans or use ground coffee but these are pretty good! I have tried the Dawn Patrol Blend so far and the coffee smell is strong and has quite a bit of caffeine. The initial whiff after adding to water smells like other, much more common instant coffee but the taste is remarkably different! Can't wait to try the other ones in the sampler set!

Love this cup of coffee. Honestly, I'm a fan of Via when I gotta drink instant and although I've tried a lot of other instant coffees, most have that taste which slightly off. First Ascent didn't and in fact had complexities that I expect from pour overs. Thanks!

Seriously the best instant coffee out there! Most instant coffees have a weird, metallic taste that usually requires a bunch of sugar to hide. First Ascent's instant coffee tastes JUST like what I get out of a bag of their normal coffee, with no metallic taste or "film" that gives most instant coffees a weird texture feeling.
My normal method of consuming FA's instant coffee - hot or cold water with no sugar.
