As a fair-weather, car camper, I typically pack my Aeropress and all the fixin's without worrying about all the weight that goes with it. This year I've been getting more and more into bikepacking, and need to shed the weight without shedding the quality! I'm definitely not a coffee connoisseur, but I know I don't want to waste my tastebuds on crappy coffee. I knew that I needed a lighter, more transportable coffee for my bike trips. I ordered the sample pack and was VERY PLEASANTLY surprised! So far, I've only had the Dawn Patrol and Ethiopian, and they're both excellent. I'm DEFINITLY ordering more for the summer trips on my agenda. Next stop, Denali National Park!
This is my Son William Jackson Paris. I traveled to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to celebrate my 45th birthday, and nine months later Billy arrived. This boy is fearless. We love your coffee.
A coworker introduced me to this coffee. At first I was like...instant coffee?!?!....yuck. but then he made me a cup and I'm like...OHHH YEAH!!! Smooth with no bitter finish. I usually have coffee with cream and sweetener but I don't need it with this coffee. It's the only coffee I found that is actually enjoyable to drink black. I'm hooked. What would make it better? Maybe a vanilla bean...my favorite is the ethiopian blend...YUM-MY!
Hit the spot during a cold day on the slopes! Great tasting, will be buying again. Lightweight, easy to carry.
I’m retired, and riding bikes to coffee is always fun. We decided to stop at a park and try the Dawn Patrol and Ethiopian coffee using my Jetboil stove. My buddy was skeptical. After his first sip, his reaction told the story. Both of us agreed this coffee was the best instant we’ve ever tried. I immediately ordered a bulk bag of each to enjoy on our bike rides, as well as our upcoming bike tour. My buddy will no longer be carrying his fancy coffee press on our tours!
The sample pack is great, allowing you to try before deciding what to buy. Coffee tastes are highly subjective. But my take on each of the coffees in the sample pack is: 1) Dawn Patrol Blend: to me, it had some bitterness at the front and back of the taste, but the middle lingering in the mouth was good. 2) Hero Day Blend: to me, it has a full bodied satisfying flavor, with a slight bitter ending. And 3) Ethiopia: to me, had no strong bitterness, and was generally satisfying taste, which I would describe as medium body.
Your coffees are the best. I have traveled all over and never found a smoother, tastier quality coffee. I tell everyone I meet about it. Everyone who samples it instantly falls in love with it. The best.
I've tried the others...but First Ascent is the pinnacle! Love the flavor and boldness of both the Hero Day and Dawn Patrol. Dawn Patrol is especially fitting as my running group Team0530 likes to start at... 0530. Great coffee!
